Jonathan "JJ" Jimmerson is a Nashville-based producer, session musician, and touring artist with decades of experience in both live performance and studio recording. Before relocating to Nashville, JJ spent nearly a decade serving as a worship leader in California, where he developed a passion for helping artists communicate their message through music while gaining extensive experience arranging, directing, and performing in a wide variety of musical settings. Today, he combines that background with years of professional touring and recording experience to help artists create authentic, high-quality records.
Throughout his career, JJ has performed and toured with artists including Larry Fleet, Niko Moon, Neon Union, Cowboy Troy, and many others, sharing stages with some of the most respected names in country, CCM, and contemporary music. His versatility as a musician allows him to contribute across countless genres, bringing both creativity and professionalism to every project. Whether on stage or in the studio, JJ understands what it takes to create music that connects with audiences.
As a multi-instrumentalist, JJ regularly performs and records on lead guitar, acoustic guitar, pedal steel guitar, lap steel, dobro, mandolin, banjo, bass guitar, and additional stringed instruments. His broad musical skill set gives him a unique perspective as a producer, allowing him to communicate effectively with musicians, arrange parts that serve the song, and help artists achieve the sound they envision.
