More about B3
Let's begin with the fundamentals. B3 designates a certain Hammond organ model. There were dozens of different organ models produced by the Hammond Organ Company, but only one was known as B3. A few minor alterations were made to the B3 model throughout the duration of its 20-year production cycle, from 1955 to 1974. There were several versions with comparable appearances before 1955, including the model B2, BV, BC, BCV, and model A. If you put them all on stage at once (or in the Keyboard Exchange International showroom in Sanford, Florida), it would be challenging to distinguish between them unless you were an expert in each model.
