Pedal Steel Guitarist in Nashville- Touring and Session Player

This is a little snippet of a pedal steel guitar player in Nashville, TN- Jon Jimmerson playing All My Exes Live in Texas by George Straight. This was played in northern California. Jon Jimmerson plays primarly E9th pedal steel and open e, d, and g lap steel. The steel guitars that Jon uses are an MSA Classic single neck  and a Derby D10th double neck. He is a fan of all kinds of music but loves 90's country. Jon grew up hearing players like Paul Franklin, Tommy White, Doug Jernigan, Bruce Bouton, and many more. Even though he plays a lot of "out side of the box" pedal steel, Jon still loves paying homage to the founders of the pedal steel sounds like Buddy Emmons and Loyd Green to name a few.
